Malaysian students boycott Gwen Stefani

A Malaysian Muslim student group is attempting to prevent Gwen Stefani from performing the Kuala Lumpur leg of her Asian tour.

The National Union of Malaysian Muslim Students has alleged that the pop star dresses indecently and uses obscenity, and therefore should not be allowed to perform.

"Her video clips promoting the event are too obscene," Mohamad Hilmi Ramli, president of the student group, told Reuters. "We want the organizers to cancel the concert, failing which we will ask the authorities to intervene."

Himli also criticised Malaysian mobile phone company Maxis Communications for advertising Stefani's concerts.
